We can’t help but ‘oooh’ over an awesome cake or pretty decorations. We’re only human. But honestly, we’re much more excited to take pictures of you and your guests having a fantastic time, laughing, crying, and dancing the night away. Unposed, un-promted, real emotions - pictures that hint at a little bit more than just a fleeting moment.
Each wedding is so different, and that's part of what we love about them. There's no ideal in our heads that we try to make people fit. When we photograph a wedding, we stay out of the way. We let things unfold naturally so that we can capture all the amazing things that actually happen.
When we think of what's special to us, it's being snuggled up on the sofa, making each other laugh with silly faces, and taking turns to make tea in the morning. Or letting each other have a lie-in if they've been up with Bertie (our newborn) all night. Everyone has something like this. We think occasionally, in public (i.e.. wedding), something of this relationship shows. That's what we're trying to shoot.
Despite all this deep talk of real moments, if you'd like some more portrait-y pictures of just the two of you, we love those too! These would still be very relaxed; we just have fun somewhere pretty, it's as simple as that.
